The adult fitness programs at the APC range from knockdown drag out Boot Camps to structured Senior Fitness Programs. Regardless of your age or current level of fitness Allison Burner will provide the experience you are looking for while pushing you to maximal outcomes.
Meet Your Coach
Allison Burner Lauderman, RBA, NASE
Allison Burner Lauderman graduated from Parkersburg High school in 2000 as a 2x state volleyball champion and a 2x state champion in track and field. She was awarded a full scholarship to Marshall University as a track and field athlete qualifying for the MAC in her first year. Allison is a nationally recognized certified sports performance coach (N.A.S.E.- National Association of Speed and Explosion.) She is a certified CAP/IMPACT volleyball coach, certified Battlerope instructor and FMS (Functional Movement System) certified. She has worked with college, high school, junior high, youth teams and athletes from 6-55+ in age.
This program is the equivalent of personal training in a group based session. The emphasis of Adult Fitness is to provide a challenging and ever changing mode of training. The workouts are modified to fit the individual needs of those in the group while maintaining a progressive strength and cardiovascular program. This is an excellent general fitness program but those training for that next 10K, a Tough Mudder or a rec league championship will find the benefits of working with Allison puts them in front of the pack. Training incorporates athletic movement skills, free weight and kettlebell strength training, slide boards, resistance band work, mobility and flexibility. If you are joining this program after an injury and or physical therapy our staff will work with you and your Physical Therapist is ensure any restrictions are enforced and you transition smoothly back into a routine exercise program.
Adult Fitness Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am & 11am
Monday and Wednesday 6pm
One hour, continuous movement. Bring extra water!
This program is very popular and makes perfect strangers your best training partners. Boot Camp at the APC is the combination of aerobic fitness and core strength development with minimal equipment to get in the way and slow you down. The entire session requires your desire to move in a fast paced, fun atmosphere. Please cheer each other on. It helps a lot!

Senior Fitness is for those 55 years and older. This program emphasizes flexibility, mobility, balance, stability and strength for the more mature athlete. Offered in a group setting the program individualizes each workout based on your ability. This program is ideal for those who have taken some time off from exercise or have limitations due to injury, surgery or arthritis. Our staff will work in concert with your physician and or physical therapist should your have specific limitations or requirements. Please remember this is still an exercise class with the goal of moving forward and promoting an active lifestyle. So bring a towel, a water bottle and be prepared to workout!
