Mark Karnoupakis, PT, DPT
Mark Karnoupakis graduated from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology with emphasis in Aquatic Therapy. Mark then attended West Virginia University School of Medicine Department of Physical Therapy. Upon graduating in May 2012 from West Virginia University, Mark received the “Student Research Award” signifying his commitment to working at a doctoral level developing and enhancing the care physical therapists provide to patients. He began his professional career at Mountain River Physical Therapy in June 2012 in the Parkersburg, WV clinic. Mark transferred to the Wellsburg, WV clinic in February 2013. His passion is in orthopedic/manual physical therapy. Mark began an Orthopedic Residency in February 2013 with ProMotion Training University (PTU). Upon completing the 12 month residency, Mark will strive to obtain an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Certification (OCS). Mark plans on continuing to progress his skills as a physical therapist by completing a manual orthopedic physical therapy fellowship. Mark is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Orthopedic, Geriatric, and Research sections.
Mark is from Weirton, WV and has recently moved back to his hometown after spending 8 months in Parkersburg, WV. In his free time, Mark enjoys working out, sports, and spending time with friends and family.
